Hi, I’m Joan Magat, founder of NexLevel Ads.
I didn’t start in marketing. I started in software engineering.
I spent the early part of my career building complex systems and digital platforms, which gave me the technical foundation I still rely on today. But as I got more curious about how businesses grow, I made the shift into SEO. That’s where I learned how traffic works, how people search, and how to connect strategy with results.
From there, I moved into paid media. I started freelancing, then worked my way into agencies in Vancouver and Toronto where I led campaigns across Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. Over the past five years, I’ve worked as a PPC Lead, Digital Marketing Manager, and Performance Marketing Manager helping brands in SaaS, real estate, and services scale with smarter paid media systems.
I’ve also worked in-house at a service-based company in Calgary, where I partnered closely with RevOps, sales, and marketing to make sure paid media wasn’t just generating leads, it was driving pipeline.
On the side, I scaled a US-based chat marketing SaaS company’s ad accounts on Meta and Google, managing over $1 million in spend and helping them acquire tens of thousands of paying users.
